Route66 Q & A

How does it work?

First thing you have to do is download the Route66 Mobile App and create a user (see User Guide for Client App). After this, you as a Customer should enter the details of the trip you like to book. As soon as the app receives your booking request, it matches your requirements with available nearby cab driver. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation details with your order ID. Cab will arrive at the requested pick up location at the requested time.

 

How do you charge?

Route66 App provides you the quote for the Service via website. The quotes are the current offers available from Private Hire Operator, which are available at the time of making your booking.

 

How do I pay?

If you chose booking with the ‘Pay by Card’, you as a Customer agree to pay the Fare at the time you make your booking through the Website/App. If you chose booking with the ‘Pay by Cash’, you agree to pay the Fare to the PHO’s Driver. In the event that you make any deviations from the route that you entered into the Website, you may be subject to additional charges by PHO in respect thereof and will make such payment directly to PHO. Route66 will provide you with an electronic receipt for Payment via email to the email address you used to register or book the trip.

 

How much in advance do I need to book?

We recommend to book at least 10 minutes in advance for assured availability of the vehicle.

 

What if the cab didn’t turn up after confirmed booking?

In the reversed event, then PHO driver does not arrive at the Agreed Pick-Up Point within 15 minutes of the Agreed Time – or within 30 minutes if the pick-up point is an airport – and You do not use PHO for the Trip, You will be entitled to a full refund of the Fare including any Card Costs when the booking was paid in advance by Card, as full and final settlement to You in respect of such failure. IMPORTANT: should you, at your own discretion, decide to continue with the Trip where the PHO arrives after 15 minutes from the Agreed time – or within 30 minutes if the pick-up point is an airport – then you will not be entitled to any such refund as the service was used by you.

 

How to cancel a booking? What is your cancellation policy?

Under Consumer Protection you have the right to cancel a Booking made through the Website.

However:

– You must notify Route66caby.co.uk that you wish to cancel you booking by submitting a cancellation request via the form on the Contact Us page, quoting the booking reference, as per the guidance provided on the Website/App or call the number provided in Contact Us.

–  In the event of the cancellation of a booking, up to 25 minutes, unless otherwise specified on the individual confirmation page of your booking confirmation email, before the Agreed time (1) then paying by Card, you will be entitled to a full refund of the Fare (excluding any Card Costs). Where the cancellation is less than 25 minutes unless otherwise specified on the individual confirmation page of your booking confirmation email, before the agreed time, when you paid by Card then no refund will be due to you. If you were to pay by Cash, then your profile will be marked with the due amount, which may prevent you from booking through Route66caby.co.uk again if the amount due is not settled.

 

Is your service available anywhere in London?

Yes, our service is available anywhere in London.

 

Is outstation service available?

Yes, we provide outstation service originating from London to Selected Cities. Please call us with the details, we will provide you the quotation.

 

Are my goods covered by any insurance in case of an accident?

Carlton Cars T/A Route66 Limited, as the PHO is notresponsible for insurance to cover any damage or loss that may be sustained by your Goods in the course of a Trip and it is your exclusive responsibility to have such Goods insured and take reasonable care in respect of such damage or loss.
